Cole Patterson

Bio

Cole Patterson serves as the Safeties Coach at Silverdale Baptist Academy. His coaching experience includes helping lead a Chattanooga middle school program to a city championship in 2023 and its varsity program to the first multi-win season in school history. Patterson focuses on developing disciplined, intelligent defensive backs who communicate effectively, play with physicality, and understand how their individual responsibilities contribute to the success of the entire defense.

A native of Douglasville, Georgia, Patterson played defensive back at Alexander High School before continuing his football career at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He was a two-time all-conference selection and received the Hanley-Naegele Award as the Academy’s outstanding defensive football player following his senior season.

After graduating from the Merchant Marine Academy, Patterson served as an officer in the United States Navy and spent more than a decade working in the maritime industry. He is now the founder and CEO of Magellan EV.

Patterson believes football provides a unique environment for teaching discipline, accountability, resilience, servant leadership, and commitment to something greater than oneself. His purpose as a coach is to help young men develop the character and confidence needed to become dependable teammates, faithful leaders, husbands, fathers, and men of God.

Cole and his wife, Kirsten, live in Ooltewah with their three children.
